Nick Coffman was born in St. Louis and raised on a football field. Like most kids in football, Nick thought he would have a long career playing in the pros. He made it onto a division one football team before two knee injuries cost him his dream and his identity, but by some miracle, his mascot-sized noggin was spared from any harm. Now residing in Chicago, Nick writes half-hour comedies featuring hardheaded leads caught between two worlds. With sketch training from Second City Chicago and classes from Roadmap Writers under his belt, Nick made the leap to TV writing and is busy putting reps in on some blank pages. Nick’s pilot “The Death of Blockbuster Video” was a Second Rounder in the 2022 Austin Film Festival.
